I would happily recommend Level Up to anyone who has felt hesitant, unsure, or put off joining a gym and is looking for a friendly, non-judgemental place to start.

I had never done any PT sessions before and was afraid. From day 1 I loved it, really friendly atmosphere, no posers, everyone genuinely gives support and you get to know people

Have a few issues with my knees/ mobility and didn't think going to a gym was possible. But here, Michael has been considerate and has shown me ways to do things that won't cause anymore damage or leave my knees in anymore pain

The ideaWhat is small group personal training?

It sits between a gym membership and a personal trainer. You get the plan and the coach, and you share the session with a few other members.

“I have never set foot in a gym”

Good. Most of our members started exactly there. You do not need to know a single exercise. Your coach shows you each movement, your programme starts at your level, and nobody expects you to keep up with anyone else.

“Its my first experience of a gym and I can honestly say they are amazing at what they do.”

“I felt watched in big gyms”

So did a lot of the people training here now. This is a small gym where the same faces turn up each week, everyone is working through their own plan, and the coaches come over to help before you have to ask.

“I like it because you don't feel embarrassed like at the big gyms if u do the workout wrong. They come and help you.”

“There is no ego's in this gym, just craic, laughter and people celebrating each others success.”

“The community in the gym is amazing, there is no judgement what so ever and everyone is there to help and support each other.”

“My knees, back or shoulders are not great”

Tell us before you start. Your programme is written around what your body can do today, and your coach will show you another way to do anything that hurts.

“Have a few issues with my knees/ mobility and didn't think going to a gym was possible. But here, Michael has been considerate and has shown me ways to do things that won't cause anymore damage or leave my knees in anymore pain”

“I always give up after a few weeks”

That is usually a planning problem, not a willpower problem. Here the plan is done for you, a coach is expecting you, and the people you train beside will ask where you were.

“I had tried gym workouts in the past and found it boring and unsustainable which is a stark contrast to where I am now. I look forward to every gym session at level up”

Ask how we keep you going

How it worksFour levels, one at a time

This is how we get people results. Nothing clever. Just the four things most people never get from a gym membership.

  1. 1

    Plan

We write you a programme around your goal, your body and how much you have trained before. You never walk in wondering what to do.

  2. 2

    Training

You train in a small group with a coach on the floor, setting you up, checking your form and adding weight when you are ready.

  3. 3

    Support

Questions between sessions get answered. Members mention help with food as well as training in their reviews.

  4. 4

    Accountability

Your coach checks in on you and tracks your progress, so you can see how far you have come and nobody quietly drifts away.

Questions people ask us

Something else on your mind? Ask it on WhatsApp and a real person will answer.

Ask your own question
What is small group personal training?

It is personal training shared between a few people. You train in the same session as other members, but everyone follows their own programme, written for them. A coach is on the floor the whole time to set you up, check your form and move you on when you are ready.

I have never been in a gym. Is that a problem?

No. Beginners are who we built this for. You do not need to know any exercises before you start. Everything is shown to you and your programme starts at your level. Our members range from 14 to 73.

How much does it cost?

Message us on WhatsApp and we will send you the current prices and what is included. We would rather talk it through with you than leave you guessing from a price list.

How do I start?

Most people start with our 30 Day Beginners Programme. Message us on WhatsApp, tell us a bit about where you are at, and we will explain how it works and when you can begin.

When are you open?

Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 7am. Tuesday and Thursday from 9.30am. We close at 7pm on weekdays, 6.30pm on Friday. Saturday is 9.30am to 11.30am and we are closed on Sunday.

Where is the gym?

23 Henry Place, Belfast, BT15 2AY. Henry Place is off Clifton Street, a couple of minutes from Carlisle Circus in North Belfast.

I have an injury or sore joints. Can I still train?

Tell us before you start and your coach will build your programme around it. Members have written on Google about training here with knee and shoulder problems. If you are under a doctor or physio, check with them first.

Ready when you are. Message us.

It goes straight to the coaches, and a real person replies. No pressure and no hard sell.
